Then, consider applying for the 2024 JoAnne Day Student of the Year Awards!
The PennACE Association recognizes one recipient in each category with a certificate and $250 cash award which will be presented to them by their respective career center.
Undergraduate students can apply for awards in one of the following categories based on the nature of their experiential learning experience (internships, co-ops, field, clinical, student teaching, etc.) related to:
STEM Award: engineering, computer science/information technology, sciences or research.
Liberal Arts Award: educational services, social science/service, humanities or human services, government, communication, arts, or entertainment.
Business Award: business, marketing, management, accounting, business development or strategy, supply chain/logistics, or finance.
Associate Degree Award: Students in an Associate’s Program who have completed an experience related to any category (STEM, Liberal Arts, or Business)
To be considered for the award, online application packets must contain information on an experiential learning experience that occurred between August 2023 – August 2024. Applicants must submit of all of the following documents online by October 18, 2024:
- An Application Form with student essay, resume, and professional headshot photo submitted online by the student
- Letter of Support submitted online by the Internship Supervisor
- Letter of Support submitted online by University personnel (faculty, staff or administrator)
