Mount Aloysius College will be celebrating Mercy Week the week of September 21-25!
Mercy Week is an annual commemoration of the opening of the House of Mercy on Baggot Street on September 24, 1827. This house was a safe haven for women in difficult situations, offering them a home, food, and job training. It was also the forerunner to the Meals-on-Wheels program. The House of Mercy eventually led Catherine McAuley to form the Sisters of Mercy, who later founded our college in 1853. To celebrate, there will be a number of events throughout Mercy Week that will allow us to understand and respond to the Critical Concerns of the Sisters of Mercy, and promote human dignity and understanding.
There will also be a $25 Dunkin gift card for the student who attends the most Mercy Week activities!
