If you have tested positive for Covid-19, Influenza A or B or if you have respiratory virus symptoms such as fever, chills, fatigue, cough, runny nose, headache:
- Isolate in place, stay away from others (including people you live with who are not sick).
- Students should notify the Health and Wellness Center so class excuses can be provided if necessary. Employees should notify their direct supervisor.
- (814) 886-6515 or (814) 886-6391
- HealthServices@mtaloy.edu
You can go back to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, both are true:
- Your symptoms are getting better overall
and
- You have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication)
When you go back to normal activities, continue to wear a well fitting mask and keep your distance when around others, while indoors, for an additional 5 days.
If you start to develop a fever or you start to feel worse after you have gone back to normal activities, stay home and away from others again until, for at least 24 hours, both are true: your symptoms are improving overall, and you have not had a fever (and are not using fever-reducing medication). Then wear a mask and keep distance from others for an additional 5 days.
