Please do not flush anything down the toilets on campus except toilet paper.
The Cresson Sewer Plant notified the college that the plant is experiencing major infiltration to the system of the following items:
tampons
sanitary napkins
flushable wipes (despite the name, they are not meant to be flushed down the toilet)
condoms
paper towels
batteries
food
medical sports tape and gauze
among other things
Sewer plants are only built to properly treat raw sewage.
